The Medusa medal for this event is presented in an antique silver finish and has been almost 2 years in the making; it is undoubtedly our finest medal ever! Whilst one look at this won't turn you to stone, just one peep and you will be mesmerised and you simply must have it! This is a medal of many firsts; we've used multiple die cast moulds to make each one, each medal is hand finished and each one is a truly three dimensional beast that any running medal collector simply must have in their collection.

Why are we doing this?
Well, in 2018 we brought you the Explorer - the world's 'largest' finisher's medal and in 2019 we brought you the Silver Phoenix and the Golden Phoenix, 3D and arguably then our best medals ever. Then in 2020 we brought you medals fit for GODS with the God of Thunder medals and the Wrath of Poseidon.

In 2021 we're carrying on the Phoenix tradition of continuing to push the boundaries of medal production. Each year we do an event or two where the medal(s) and the event(s) cost as much or more than the entry fee. We absolutely love medals and this way we try and give you something you literally can't get anywhere else!

In 2021 we think we've outdone ourselves yet again. Medusa is our finest medal ever - a bold statement, but if you know our medals, then when we ask you to 'trust us', we hope you will. You've never seen the like of Medusa before!

Please Note: because of this the entry fee is more expensive than we'd like but it's the only way we can make events with medals like this happen. However, we're confident; really confident; that if you love medals, you will love this Gorgon!

Due to the extra-special and bespoke nature of this event you won't be able to use a voucher or credit to enter this event, including marshal's credits, and you won't be able to transfer your entry to another event or another runner within 3 months of the event date itself.

Medusa is one of our special extended 7 hour timed events where you choose - from 5km to 10k, half to marathon to ultra, you can complete as many, or as few, laps as you like of a 5.3km, 3.28 mile, out and back, course along the beautiful river Thames. We welcome all abilities of runner - complete one lap and you're both a finisher and a winner in our eyes, or keep going and see how far you can get in the full 7 hour time limit and everyone gets the fabulous bespoke finishers' medal.

Not sure? Well the beauty of this format is that you don't even need to decide in advance - simply come and run a lap and see how you feel on the day and keep on going if it feels right.

Places will be strictly limited so don't leave it too late to enter.

Minimum distance is 3.28 miles or as far as you can go in 7 hours. Off road trail, the terrain is riverside towpath. The overall course has no elevation gain / loss making this a flat and fast route.

We provide a physical running service and by entering our events you are purchasing an actual run, either by attending our events or by running the event virtually yourself. All participants in our events, both attended and virtual, will receive a free giveaway medal / memento from your run.
