Sunday 11 November 2018
This is a very special and poignant event indeed. In 2018 not only does Remembrance Day 11/11 fall on Remembrance Sunday, but it also marks the 100th Anniversary since the end of the Great War - World War I.
To commemorate 'Remembrance Day' and to honour those who gave their lives during World War 1 we're holding our annual Remembrance Day Marathon Centenary Edition on Sunday 11th November 2018 to mark the date 100 years ago, in 1918, on which the Great War came to an end.
In 2017 we created the 'Remembrance Stone' medal and it's arguably our finest design ever. In 2018 this will be 'carved out' into a '100th' Edition and is not to be missed. Our unique 'race freeze' at 11am will also return as a mark of respect.
This event sold out months in advance last year so please enter early. Places will be strictly limited.
Off road trail, the terrain is riverside towpath - 4 out and back laps equal the full marathon distance.
The overall course has no elevation gain / loss making this a flat and fast route.
