Didn't get into the London Marathon, or perhaps you're already doing it virtually? Fancy something completely different? Then how about joining us for one of our epic VULTRA virtual running events, complete with the route map around London.

Our first Not the London Marathon Virtual run was very popular with its classic medal presented in antique silver, and the second one even more popular in antique gold, so we thought we'd offer an alternative event again and this time the medal will presented in a shiny gold - it's epic!

This VULTRA will follow the classic London 26.2 mile marathon route taking you around the streets of London and finishing as always on the Mall.

The event will officially start on Sunday 3rd October 2021 from 12.00am (UK time) - there will be a Facebook race brief in our Virtual chat group the evening before and you'll then have up to 1 month to complete your NOT London VULTRA. You can also complete the 26.2 mile distance all in one go or in any increments of 1 mile or more (logging your runs as you go and moving around the London route map).

The exciting bit.....

You'll get a non-sequential BIB when you sign up, set to #1, which you can change in your Phoenix World settings - perhaps to match your actual London or Virtual London BIB - you BIB number is totally up to you. There will be a route map and central results and progress landing page on the 'VULTRA' Phoenix Running website, and each competitor will have their own virtual location pin (complete with your name and BIB number for tracking your virtual progress) and you can even have your profile picture appear. Once you start your virtual run you'll submit your mileage as you go which, once approved, will automatically move you around the map. So, if you're doing the event in smaller increments then you'll see yourself move around the map and if you're doing it all in one go then you'll go straight to the finish line when you've had your results approved. Your total miles and total time will be added to the finisher results, you'll show as 'COMPLETE' and you can download your finishers' certificate and we'll automatically send you your epic bling!

This is a challenge for literally anyone of any running ability. If you're new to running, fancy something a bit different then this is for you. And, if you're a seasoned marathon runner, then we'd love to have you aboard to see if you can cover the distance all in one go.
