Simon Lister's 100th Marathon

Help us celebrate Simon Lister's 100th marathon! Expect a huge medal, the full Phoenix experience (brilliant marshals, an all-day aid station and plenty of banter) and cake, because you can't hit 100 without it.

How it works
This is a timed event on a flat, fast trail loop along the River Mersey in Chorlton Water Park. Do as many or as few laps as you like in the 7 hours. Runners, walkers, joggers, hikers and Jeffers are all welcome. Complete one lap and you're a finisher and a winner in our eyes, and every finisher gets our bespoke finisher's medal. Start with a lap, see how you feel, and keep going if it feels right.

Key details

• Time: 8.30am to 3.30pm (7 hours)
• Venue: Hardy Farm, M21 8FE
• Rock up and run between 8.30am-10.30am
• Distance: One lap is 2.91 miles. Do one lap or as many as you can.
• Terrain: Off-road riverside towpath, very little elevation
• Charity: Pendleside Hospice, Burnley
• Race brief: Sent one week before the event and mandatory reading for all participants

Aid station
Stocked all day with vegetarian food, plus plenty of vegan and gluten-free options: bananas, dates, jelly sweets, crisps, squash, full-sugar cola and usually cake. If you have a severe or life-threatening allergy, please bring your own food, as we can't guarantee against cross-contamination.

Facilities and parking

• Toilets and changing rooms at Race HQ
• 75 spaces at Hardy Farm, first come, first served
• 100 more spaces at Sale Water Park, across the river (15-minute walk to the start)
• Additional public pay-and-display parking around Chorlton Water Park

We provide a physical running service and by entering our events you are purchasing an actual run, either by attending our events or by running the event virtually yourself. All participants in our events, both attended and virtual, will receive a free giveaway medal / memento from your run.
