Due to restricted numbers in 2020, we're holding our award winning Remembrance Day Marathon and Half Marathon over two days, so, for the first time ever, welcome to our Remembrance 'Saturday' Run..... So, for those who missed out on a space for our Remembrance Sunday Marathon & Half, we're going to be holding an identical event the day before.

In 2020, we're holding our annual Remembrance 'Saturday' Marathon & Half Marathon on Saturday 7th November 2020.

This event is literally built around a unique 'race freeze' at 11.00am, where at the sound of the horn blast all runners stop to observe a 2 minute silence, resuming their race at exactly 11.02am when we should 3 blasts of the horns. Even if you're a fast half marathon runner and plan to have finished before 11am, why not stay around to pay your respects and absorb the unique atmosphere at 11.00am.

Please NOTE: Should this event get postponed due to a second wave of Covid-19 or local lockdown rules then all entrants will be offered the option to run the event virtually on the day, or carry entries over to the next running of the event.

An important note on the 2 minute silence:

This is not an event with a 2 minute silence put in it - this is a 2 minute silence with an entire marathon & half marathon event built around it and now it spans two days. It is the very heart and soul of this event and the reason it exists. It is a very moving, spine tingling experience to be part of and in past years members of the public, walkers, cyclists and even rowers on the river have put their oars up and joined in. In 2020 we're going to do it twice!

The medal? Well, let's just say these will be EPIC!

We provide a physical running service and by entering our events you are purchasing an actual run, either by attending our events or by running the event virtually yourself. All participants in our events, both attended and virtual, will receive a free giveaway medal / memento from your run.
