In the summer of 2021 Phoenix Running are returning with our very popular Ten in Ten (TiT) Run Series and this time with a whole new 'Summer Solar System' theme and to be held at our beautiful River Stort loop in Sawbridgeworth, Herts. The event will be held from Saturday 7th August 2021 through to Monday 16th August 2021 and this year we're bringing you a series of intergalactic medals that are literally out of this world.

As the name suggests this is a series of 10 consecutive running events held over 10 consecutive days where you choose - from 5km to 10k, half to marathon to ultra, you can complete as many, or as few, laps as you like each day. The lap is our standard 5.3km, 3.28 mile loop around the beautiful River Stort and surrounding waterways and is held on a UKA/IAAF measured and certified route. The runs are 8 hour timed events, dependant on distance entered and we welcome absolutely all abilities of runner - complete one lap on any day and you're both a finisher for that day and a winner in our eyes, or keep going and see how far you can go in the full time limit. Then come back and do it all over again and again and again.

The Phoenix Ten in Ten Series will be based from our Redricks Lake location in Sawbridgeworth (postcode CM21 0RL) and there are plenty of accommodation options nearby. The dates have been specially selected when we hope the weather will be kind to us as we are also exploring the possibility of FREE onsite camping right at the start / finish line (TBC).

There are other 10in10's, so what makes the Phoenix SOLAR Ten in Ten so special?
Well, as we hope you've come to expect from us, we're going to be doing something rather special and unique to us on the 'bling' front. Each day will have a special 'two-part' medal so not one medal but two bits of bling each day!

We've gone a bit mad with these and have produced a rather lovely set of SOLAR System medals for you. These are, of course, our usual BIG and bold bling (goes without saying really that we wouldn't compromise on size) but this time they are 'two part' integrated medals. So each day you get our epic solar system medal with a different planet (integrated and detachable) as the centrepiece. Pretty awesome - two bits of bling every day!

Why YES as matter of fact there is something else - but for now it's a surprise - something really quite new and really quite epic!! Something really out of this world!! Not telling yet.

AAAAAAND - Anything else?
Well, there are rumours that there might be a couple of bonus 'moon' runs happening during the 10 days, but we couldn't possibly 'shed any light' on that - not yet anyway!

What are the distance options and associated time limits for each?
As part of the sign up process to enter our Summer SOLAR Ten in Ten you will be asked to select from the following four options for your chosen distance;

• Half Marathon - 5 hour time limit (hard cut off)
• Marathon - 8 hour time limit (hard cut off)
• Ultra Marathon - 8 hour time limit (hard cut off)
• Timed event (mixed distances) - You must be on your last lap at 6:59 time limit

This is so we know what distance you are intending to complete so we can look after you accordingly and also what tech-shirt we should expect to give you.

Please note: You can change distances if you change your mind, even on the day itself. Just let us know so we can monitor you against the right cut off.

If you are unsure, just select 'Timed event (mixed distance)' and feel free to change if you want.

But what if I want to do some days but not all the days?
That is absolutely fine - any day can be entered as a single / separate event and you can do whichever days you want.

Will there be precautions in place due to Covid-19?
Yes, all our events are currently being held under a strict Covid-19 secure environment with additional Covid-19 risk assessments and an operational plan. Details will be provided on these precautions and procedures to all entrants into the events.
